Team 7 Reborn Ch 4


Stuff in a kunai. Break maybe one or two, and then stuff another kunai into the piece of wood.

Not much for Hinata’s day off but it would do for now. Getting out Neji’s favourite parrot wasn’t going too well, which was realized a couple hours ago.

“Sqwak!!!”

The bird finally made a noise, and that was a pretty good sign. Hinata pulled back some of her silky blue hair and reached in hoping to feel something feathery. Instead…

“Ow! Neji-nii!! He bit me!”

Hinata retracted the hand and held it up close in front of her eyes just in time to see the tiny stream of red liquid ooze out of her right hand.

“Naruto-kun, I really like that you’re my boyfriend but maybe we could go on a double-date with Sasuke-kun?”

Naruto started laughing and then said in his usual hoarse voice, “Sasuke doesn’t have a girlfriend, silly!”

Sakura pouted at his remark, forgetting that her beloved Sasuke-kun didn’t have a date in the first place. The only way she could get around him during a romantic dinner was for him to have his own date.

“What about that Hyuuga girl? She’s on your team, right Naru-kun?”

She puffed her bottom lip in a pathetic attempt to convince her boyfriend it would be okay, so he happily accepted.

Having her brain being stuffed with Hokage-nonsense and ramen, she forgot that meant Sasuke would be dating somebody, meaning, SASUKE-KUN IS TAKEN.

Another groan erupted from Sasuke’s throat as another bat flew into the small dark cave he used to hang out in. It didn’t happen too often where live animals would make a home in his cave, but today it was different.

There were hundreds .

There was yet another groan when Sasuke realized that the smartest person in their class would be asleep or playing shouji all day. Nothing that he would ever offer would get Shikamaru out of sleeping and cloud-gazing.


“That lazy bastard…”

He left the dark and chattery cave for the Hokage mountain. A place to clear his thoughts was needed. Recently, Sasuke had been thinking about too many fighting tactics and how the Sharingan and Byakugan could work together. Naruto on the other hand, could sit and watch in the stands.
  
Maybe he could make that a rule for a club? No eye jutsu- no entry.

“Hey, Hinata! Are you done chasing that stupid bird yet?”

Hinata blushed and slowly nodded towards the blonde who had unexpectingly arrived at the Hyuuga mansion only moments ago.

“Listen, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a double-date with me and Sakura-chan?”

Word had alreaday gotten out that Sakura and Naruto were going out, which mentally scarred Hinata. The person she admired most had a girlfriend? The person she loved most had a girlfriend? She decided to protect her weak heart and move on, which had remarkably ended her stuttering in such a short period of time.

“Ah…I’d love to, Naruto-kun, but I don’t have a date”

“Oh! That’s okay! You could go out with-“

Oh my god, Naruto-kun is suggesting who I should go out with! Who could it be- who could it be?!
“-Sasuke”

The words stunned the Hyuuga heiress and her jaw dropped low, and her face turned a shade of crimson. The Uchiha boy??? Wasn’t he possibly the most anti-social boy in all of Konoha? There was no way he would ever take her, a Hyuuga, out on a date. No way, no how, end of story.

But then again, how could she dissappoint Naruto of all people?

“Okay, Naruto-kun. I-I’ll go…but he’s  not going to ask me to go on a date!”

“Oh yeah, well, Sakura-chan and I can handle that!”

“Please, Sasuke-kun, please!”

“I said no, Sakura, I’m not going out with that Hyuuga girl!!”

“Please, I promise to never bother you ever again!!”

…

“This is a serious offer?”

“Oh yes, Sasuke-kun! I would never lie to you!”

“…I’m going”.
